The scope of the solver is not only to solve the Maxwell equations in the Eddy-current approximation but can also be coupled with the thermal and solid mechanics solvers of LS-DYNA in order to take full advantage of their capabilities. All materials available in LS-DYNA can therefore be used independently of their electromagnetic properties. The materials with strain rate dependency (ex: Johnson-Cook) are particularly well suited for very fast deformation applications such as magnetic forming or welding.
