RVE & Micromechanical Analysis

This class in­tro­duces sev­er­al nu­mer­i­cal meth­ods for RVE and mi­cro­me­chan­i­cal analy­sis us­ing LS-DY­NA. This class in­cludes var­i­ous ex­am­ples of mul­ti­scale ma­te­ri­als, such as rub­ber com­pos­ites, poly­crys­tals, and car­bon-fiber re­in­forced poly­mer com­pos­ites. The class al­so has a sec­tion on overview­ing emerg­ing ma­chine learn­ing meth­ods in ma­te­r­i­al mod­el­ing. You should leave this class with a well-round­ed un­der­stand­ing of how to use da­ta gen­er­at­ed from an RVE analy­sis in large-scale sim­u­la­tions.
